Budding Engineers in P3/P4
20th Sep 2023
As part of their Ancient Egypt World Around Us topic, children in P3/P4 designed and manufactured their own shadufs, using a range of recycled materials. The pupils explored how the Ancient Egyptians used shadufs to collect water from the River Nile as a means of watering their crops. The pupils also explored the science behind how a shaduf works and can now successfully identify the fulcrum, load and effort. Brilliant work, P3//P4!
