Elmer never looked so good!
Children in Primary 1 have been learning all about Elmer, the elephant who is different from the rest of the herd but longs to be like his friends. We decided to create a wall display based on this story.
We started by building up the strength in our arms and hands by painting the background for our display. We progressed on to using different textures to create our very own patchwork Elmer. Each child got the opportunity to paint and decorate their own unique elephant. One child suggested that the grass on our wall display needed some flowers, so we used our handprints to make flowers and create a sun. We finally finished our board by placing some of the observations noted by the children during their study of the story.
We are so proud of our first wall display. We have so many budding little artists in this classroom.
