Pupils in P3/P4 participated in their first Reciprocal Reading session this week, whereby, pupils are given more autonomy over the direction of their comprehension lessons. In each group, there are six different roles - a boss, predictor, questioner, clarifier, summariser and illustrator. The pupils must each focus on their specific roles whilst reading the novel and give feedback to their group at the end of the lesson. The pupils really enjoyed this active and pupil-led approach as a means of developing key comprehension skills. Have a look below at the pupils in action!
