World Book Day
There was great excitement in St. Michael's this last few days as we celebrated World Book Day.
Yesterday our Foundation Stage class enjoyed a World Book Day Debutots story session with the lovely Avril exploring all the Fairy Tales. Primary 2 and 3 participated in an online interview with the author and illustrator Paddy Donnelly. The Great Big Footy and Booky Quiz was enjoyed by the children in Primary 4 and 5, with our Primary 6 and 7 pupils completing a World Book Day Adobe live lesson.
Our celebrations concluded today with a Dress Up Day. Each and everyone of our children looked fantastic and showcased their wonderful costumes during our school parade. We wish to thank our families for all the effort that went into preparing the children for today. Our Eco and School Council had the challenging task of selecting a winner from each class who received a £5.00 gift voucher which can be used in our travelling book fair when it comes to St. Michael's in two weeks time.
A word of thanks also to our staff who embraced the day so well with their costumes and for their World Book Day focused lessons.
